Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

CCC being essentially eliminated

Heard today the plan is for foreign contractors from areas other than India to take over CCC as a whole. This will involve a lot of automation and foreign workers. Only licensed CCC is totally safe along with a very few highly specialized roles. This includes site leads on down. We will have a chance to apply with the contractor to be their employees. But with it being foreign based contractors how many of us will they hire at U.S. wages? This looks to impact many other departments heavily as well over time. Time line sounds like early to mid 2023 for this to be complete. Eyes on this everyone!

It's not like the quality of work being done @ the CCC is all that good anyway. Errors, mistakes, sloppy work, and lack of give a $#!+ in everything they touch.

It's very possible that this is a cost savings move just by reducing the E&O exposure.

Interesting to see this. Hearing some rumblings in our area of service as well. Definitely something big brewing and involves many areas and outside vendors. Hoping to learn more next week.

The "after hours" sales and service folks who have lately been notoriously caught stealing new business from quotes done by local agencies. Sometimes within minutes of the quote being saved and closed out. They seem to have their set of rules for qualifying prospects for Allstates policies - either that or they ignore guidelines that agencies are strapped with. Good riddance to them - they are a failure.

Glenn has been transparent with goal of $500 million in run rate savings by end of 2022. Most of that to be achieved with fewer, cheaper humans whether at the company, India, or vendors. It's only the beginning in an effort to be a lower cost insurer. Hate to admit it but price does matter to customers, until they have a bad customer experience.

The automation alone rolling out later this year in customer service and claims alone is going to be enough to make the 2020 layoffs look like nothing. Let alone any possible outside contractors.

This would explain the consultants that have been sitting along with us in Teams the past month. They be nosing around openly telling us how we can be doing more for our wage. These consultants are probably one of these contractors preparing. We have felt something like this has been up in CCC for while now. Not surprised to hear this.

I’m glad I switched my insurance to another company. Saved almost $1,000 per year
