…..this month announced grants of $7 million for GE Research in Niskayuna and $6 million for GE Gas Power in Greenville, South Carolina my question is why not any for Schenectady? Is a layoff coming even though they hired 50 unskilled laborers? .

Did you know that Greenville spends money, lots of money, in Schenectady NY. Building 66 is not only their blade supplier for the new blade system, its also their R and D facility in conjunction with Niskayuna. Just some helpful info to those that do not know. Also, they are going to need more than another 50 in Building 66 before the end of this year, so more hiring coming soon.
