Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Overworked

We are constantly expected to do more. If I were to do the work that needs to be done to the best of my ability, there would not be enough hours in a day to complete all the planned assignments. It is no longer a question of whether the people here are overworked, but perhaps the better question is whether GM will do anything to ease our suffering a little?

Remember, there are a whole lot of other people working hard so, in the end, don't expect any special payoff. Your just like everybody else when it come to raises, promotions, and layoffs.

Until something happens that results in egg on the face of some executives, they don't care. You are delivering and they have cut costs. That's a win from their perspective.

Just stop doing as much work.

They won't fire you.

No, the executives don't want to make less money per employee.
