Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

How long will you allow senior managers to talk to you like you are the problem?

The daily beatings continue. It is clear that those of us that continue to tolerate the vitriol that spews from the mouths of this company's most senior leaders have issues. On a daily basis those of us that interact with the likes of JCS, MM, TK, SMW are made to feel like we are the cause of the company's problems. Most of the people that directly report to those senior leaders are looking for jobs buts many of them keep believing that things will get better. They are fools.

Sitting in on calls with someone like JCS is best expressed as watching an episode of RHBH or Law and Order. Accusations, belittling, passive aggressive commentary, all aimed at making someone feel like they aren't good enough to shine her shoes. People have given up trying. They go to meetings knowing that it doesn't matter how hard they worked there will be something wrong. The best option is to do as little as possible since the outcome is the same as it would be if you put in any real effort.

When the history is Xerox is updated some future expert will point to what we already know. The death of this company came when leadership stopped caring about their employees, stopped believing in Teams, stopped trying to support the people in the trenches.

You know you can quit at any time and seek employment with a different company?

Xerox isn’t dying because of any of the things you mention, printing as a business is dying because our customers have found ways to do their business without consuming paper. Schools who used to print massive amounts are now, especially after Covid,g” going 100% digital. Not a single high growth company builds their processes around, much less on, printed documents. We are doomed because technology moved on 20 years ago and we only pretended we did. (looking at you connectkey and Docushare)

I am guessing the original poster is a woman. Simply based on the RHBH reference.

I'm not the poster. Independent of gender identity, they are all Pieces of Work. What a great company to work for.

Let me guess, you are a 55+, tired, underperforming male that can’t take criticism from a higher performing female? I base that on the fact that you only mention female executives, and it isn’t like NS or SB, or other male executives outshine the ones you mention! You are the problem dude!

Why is it that you only called out the female senior executives?

I have personal experience dealing with MM. It's almost the same situation as Ursula....putting an engineer into an operational role usually doesn't turn out well.

Just respond to your manager in your best DeNiro voice: "You talking to me?"

Amen. Well stated. No one here has cared for quite a while. Xerox has always treated people like a caste system. Ivory tower mentality.

Our beloved employee has something to share and we have not given him permission to speak….

Management philosophy is…. You don’t know, you don't need to know, and you’re not going to know. This has been the case for a very very long time

About time people are finally waking up albeit 5 years too late, maybe more.

Time to get your head out of the sand.
Everyone has expenses, a mortgage , a car payment, bills due. But at some point you need to take control of your life and regain your self respect.

You will be playing games indefinitely here for a company that serves no useful purpose.

I have no need to serve and comply to a bunch of crooks with their hand in the cookie jar. (Aka 401 k or 301k or whatever is left, likely just a piece of lettuce in the crisper)

And i don’t have the heart to tell you they unplugged the fridge to save money. Nice job xerox.
