I was very high performing store manager for BBB. I was just smart enough to leave when I finally decided to leave my comfort zone because I saw the writing on the walls…. I just happened to be really lucky to exit before the pandemic. My post wasn’t disparaging to any current or former employees apart from the people that ran the company. So what does that make you? Someone that’s in denial. Like I said… hang in and be like the band on the titanic or leave. It doesn’t change my life one way or the other. Just be honest with yourself.

BBB will get through this. The company has a strong foundation and customer base. The former store manager is just bitter because they probably were let go for poor performance. We are like no other company out there and will persevere. Trust me.

Where are the people who are convinced BBB is doing great and going to turn around in this thread? Can't wait to see the spin they make up to say this doesn't mean anything.

I worked for bbb for over 14 years….positions from dept manager to store manager. Honestly, people would be naive not to think that this company ISNT going to go out of business or at least file one form of bankruptcy or another… 7,11,13…. bbb was run so poorly from a business standpoint as it never adapted to the retail landscape changing. The pandemic really showed people the there was no legitimate need to go into bed bath and beyond….. most of those customers ended up at target or sprinkled around random internet businesses. it’s fine to go down with the ship as long as you’re not in denial about it. Hang around if you like, leave if u like… no point in complaining about absolutely everything that happens.

Had something similar at Toys R Us a month before we announced bankruptcy. It’s coming.
