Why are Intel employees collectively not pushing back against the policy of coming in to the office, just like Amazon and Apple employees did?
If we were to do that, things would change in our favor. What are your thoughts on this?

Push back - absolutely. We need the parking spaces for those who do show up.
WFH is a fad that will largely go away in the next few years. Managers want control and never trust employees. You don’t have to like what I’m saying, but you know it’s true.
Intel employs masses of bottom of the barrel H1Bs. If they get fired, it's a one way ticket back to the homeland because they only have 60 days to find another offer. If they were capable they would have left Intel a long time ago. You think captive hostages have leverage to organize to WFH? Pat and his $170 Million compensation package is laughing all the way to the bank.
The risk takers and independent thinkers have moved on to other companies. The current attitude is more like "kindly give me the steps I need to follow to keep the paychecks coming".
If one has the capability to do their job remotely and deliver the same quality and output, why not allow them to work from home? Saying, "I had to do it, therefore everyone should," lacks any logic. To @bbh+1gxv374A, if you have to turn wrenches or otherwise physically be on site and want remote work, maybe you should focus on getting a remote position instead of being bu***urt that others are able to do that. Are we a, "data driven company," or not..show me the numbers on how this is hurting quality or output. In addition, I saw a new, "green," initiative at work. Well, if they want to put their money where their mouth is, maybe saving tens of thousands of commutes per day may help.
I will throw out a prediction that in the upcoming year there will be heavier than normal employee attrition. Trying to force folks back into desks will cause some to consider other options.
You need to come into work just like everybody else! I did it during the whole scamdemic, somebody needed to work the floor and on equipment.
