Salary raises and inflation

Polish zloty lost its value to US dollar by 17% y/y. Polish CPI inflation: 12.3%. Any raise below 12.3% can be considered a pay cut. Polish job market is hot and competitive right now.

This is a plan. The money is not a priority for me, but it looks like the company doesn't value its employees. I am just waiting for a right job opportunity.
Inflation update: 15.6% :(

This year I got ~16% total. By internal opportuninty on the same level + the 'Polish Order' bonus - It is possible to have such raise. Ofc. You need to make some steps forward to do so but still is possible. Will see what the next year will be :D

"no, cost of living is the amount of money needed to cover basic expenses such as housing, food, taxes, and healthcare in a certain place and time period. You think that doesnt exist" - Inflation (CPI - consumer price index) measures a change in value of the basket of good of average consumer in particular place.

In the US inflation at 9% , housing prices beyond reach for some of us. 1-2% merit increase for 3 years and we are told to be happy about it. I am 1 step away from exit. We worked hard through the tough times in the pandemic. Valued only during work cycles and not in performance cycles. Understand industry is in though times, but that doesn’t mean we have to take **** from directors/vp. I seen them being very biased. Goodbye current Sabre!!!

There is no such thing as "inflation and cost or living". Inflation equals cost of living. Russia is only a part of the phenomenon.
