A majority of customers that come in the store tell me they stopped coming because of how BBBY treats their employees. There are a lot of them that have sworn of BBBY because of this. I hear it every day while working here.

it's not us, it's the customers that have aversion to cake domes. maybe they realize the sale isn't really a sale but now they can't use their coupon, and don't like being treated like id--ts
We actually had a good busy weekend. We sold many things... except cake domes. We had huge replenishment to do Monday, but we still have a lot of cake domes.
If you didn’t sell a cake dome you need to look inward. What is your aversion to cake domes? Why do you hate them? What inner conflict are you transferring to the cake domes? Seriously, these things sell themselves so the only reason you would sell them all is due to your own inner conflict with cake domes. Seek professional help.
even at 40% off or whatever and bulked out at the front door, we still didn't sell a single cake dome this weekend....shocking
Seriously, besides advertising, assortment selection, payroll allocation, training &development programs, supply chain, logistics and distribution responsibilities corporate can’t do anything to drive customers into the stores. It’s all the stores fault if your traffic is down.
Someone has never worked at Costco.
Are there people who actually believe any retailer (Costco maybe being the exception) doesn't exploit their employees. Come on...

Cake stands will be one of our hottest items. Millions of customers will come in to buy them to celebrate the continued success of BBBY. There are already millions of TikTok videos of people celebrating our success!
Sales are in the toilet. That’s a fact. Make up what ever floats your boat to explain it.

If your foot traffic is down you have no one to blame but the store employees. People don’t come back when they encounter rude and lazy workers. Corporate can only do so much to drive people to the stores, but the one overwhelming factor in customer loyalty is the friendliness and competence of the store employees. Look inward if your traffic is down. Most stores are not experiencing that problem.
Atrocities? Isn't that a bit of an over statement?..I am thinking maybe the customers come in but do not shop(okay thats a joke)..you know to rub it in to us?
so customers will still buy products that are made in sweat shops in china but will stop shopping at bed bath stores because of the atrocities that go on here. makes perfect sense.
there are a MULTITUDE of reasons people stopped shopping here, but i sincerely doubt any of them gives a cr@p how the employees are treated, lol
This is just an example of a small minority of employees that are so unhappy with themselves they makeup stories to post about how horrible BBB is. When in fact it’s the exact opposite. Our customers love us and I see them daily when they come to shop. They love the service selection and quality. We are top tier retail and they love us!
Perhaps the OP eas being sarcastic . perhaps in response to the poster who claims people are avoiding the store based on what the former employees say. Yeah, right
