Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

No buyer

I can't think of a company that could possibly buy Xerox. Can you?

Waste management is right, I worked at Xerox for over 25 years and sad to say it is now a t--d waiting for a flush.
Yes print is a difficult, even dying industry but Xerox have made a s--t fest of it.

Xerox is based on investors. All public companies are. Blackrock and Vanguard have money in xerox, hp, any company that does what we do and more (most all companies, actually). Why sell when it's all owned by the same people? Sell to who, hp, who have the same investors? Makes no sense.

I can’t believe the number of competitor sales trolls on this website. If you spent more time selling than trolling, maybe you would hit your number for the month.

True. Thats why we have lawyers as well. To bail one’s sorry bu-t out when you make a lousy financial call.

At least it keeps the legal system employed. Good or Bad.

Guessing its mostly kinda bad. ⚖️

Buying xerox is like buying a used puzzle at a garage sale. The puzzle is missing pieces and is not made anymore. You cant even find the pieces on ebay. You’re done. Time to go to Goodwill or Amvets and donate the useless box of parts. Maybe someone can use whats left for Pop Art. 🎨

Lexmark, HP or even Fuji.

Xerox Management has pretty much decimated all parts and functions as a company …Not sure what they can break away and sell as the buyer would be purchasing a broken piece of the puzzle..

The entirety of the business isn’t appealing to a buyer but the pieces, if packaged properly, will be. Xerox (eventually) will be broken off and it’s most valuable pieces sold. When sold most employees will be made redundant because surely the other party will have employees that already do the work (unless a specific skill set).

PARC is fast and furiously developing because leadership needs to entice buyers.
