Cutting hours will not solve the company's problem

We are not to blame because people here are making less and less purchases. It is the fault of those who do nothing to ensure that stores are not empty and that customers actually have something to buy. Does our leadership really think that cutting employees' hours will solve this problem that needs to be solved systematically?

If she can’t get that done is four hours she is unproductive. The time studies show how work can be completed with urgency. Our receiving best practices allowed stores to process 3 times faster thus realizing a 300% productivity increase. Embrace the change. The standards don’t provide any time for whining so just stop.

the only reason there's a 'reduced workload' is because BBB can't pay their vendors, so the stores have less and less to do. less hours are because of abysmal sales, largely due to not carrying the products people want anymore, trying to shove our owned brands down their throats at twice the price and half the quality, and not having people on the salesfloor to try and sell (weird how that happens when hours are cut....)

Sorry to tell you Target is in the same sh-t storm as we are. Cutting hours expecting employees to do more for less in the expected time as employees did on an average day before all this downward spiral. With Walmart you get the crazy’s shopping, we have all seen the memes. I choose not to engage in that sh-t show. Walmart has a whole sh-t storm for not paying a decent wage that keeps employees on the edge of not qualifying for federal assistance and poor
Company cutbacks should come from the top and work there way down. Bed Bath and Beyond store employees are the backbone of the company. If Corp doesn’t see that then they are blind.

Reduced Workload?!? Who is this bull sh*tter?? I have someone who complained to me because she is now in charge of BOPIS, CD’s, Ship to Store and Home distribution while ALSO being readily available as a backup cashier and being expected to do all this in 4-5 hours when it usually takes her 7-8!!! She is doing MORE and the company is cutting out her help and giving her LESS hours to do it!!

it’s a complete fail!! She’ll get annoyed and leave Just like myself and others who now are getting literally NO hours!! I have to find a new job!! You are literally throwing employees to the curb. They will leave to Target/Walmart along with most of the customers.

Have fun being broke in 2 years!!

Hours are not being cut. They are being reduced to meet the actual workload in the stores. The best practices released by corporate have reduced workload in the stores and thus less hours are required. Follow the best practices given out and you will have plenty of time to get everything done. Easy pessy!
