NetApp is currently in a reorganization and silent layoff as they pivot to the new Microsoft led strategy and conversion to Microsoft leadership teams. NetApp existing leadership is being replaced while teams are structured to make the Microsoft teams appear successful regardless of performance and history. Currently 850 are expected to layoff but with the high voluntary attrition the number is expected to be 20%. Silent layoffs in APAC and EMEA have started due to their longer notification periods. The US ones should occur in early May. Hiring in the industry is still very high with lot of openings at many employers. With the blatant cronyism in leadership continuing, there are no career path options for existing employees. As a Microsoft leader was heard to comment “why do all these NetApp people feel like they can talk to us?”….

why would people leave Microsoft or ibm to move to NetApp?
Just like all the middle school managers! You must be one of them.
This reads like a middle school creative writing project. Keep spreading the FUD, hero.
I have no clue how widespread it is but I know a few people who essentially got told you have 60 days to find a new job or you’re gone. Is it 5 people or 500 who knows. I have a global role and work with multiple teams. I think the reason few see cuts now is because NetApp has started doing small cuts slowly.
Silent layoffs. Isn’t that why this forum exists? Haven’t heard anyone say they’ve been laid off. Lots of wild conjecture and no specifics whatsoever to indicate anyone posting here has any real insight. Just stirring the pot.
Can the fake news crew ease up? Nothing's happening.
Really? Why would anyone from Microsoft join NetApp ( barring one or two individuals ), whats that NetApp is offering that MS won't? Doesn't make sense at all! I mean what a load of rubbish backed up by nothing
Any ideas on which groups?
Here we go again!
it means that Microsoft leadership are being hired and they are bringing in their peeps and they are replacing NetApp leadership/employees from Microsoft. Netapp has been re-organizing and transforming for 6+ years - are we there yet??
I have no clue as to what you are tying to say by "as they pivot to the new Microsoft led strategy and conversion to Microsoft leadership teams "
