This company is financially oppressive. 3 salary bands. And most of you aren’t even being paid in the mid salary range. 10 years with the company and I’m not even in the middle range! Looking at jobs outside of Met I’m sure to be paid at least 20k more base per year. Keep that in mind when you are asked to raise your hand to taken on MyPath projects - you know those projects that should have been done 50 years ago and is now repackaged and marketed as an opportunity for you. This company blows.

If you're looking to get paid decent money, MetLife is not the place for you. I just applied for my exact job at a company based in Cali. The pay range is double what I'm making now, full remote, and healthcare 100% paid for by the company. The downside is if I get the job, I'll actually be expected to produce results.
Thanks!

$133,300
$160,000
AVIP 22.5
How do we find out what the pay range is? Say a grade 13 in NC…
If you’ve worked for the company for 10 years and your salary isn’t at mid salary point. It’s time to leave.
Lol! That’s not 3 bands. That’s one band with a minimum, median, and, maximum.
You know, for all you DBs out there.
Each geographical region has 3 bands: NYC, Grade 10
Minimum pay: $74,700
Mid pay: $93,400
Max pay: $112,100
10% Max AVIP
Each geographic region has these 3 brackets based on cost to live there.
Hard Stop. For all you DBs out there.
The salary bands are used to distinguish geographical differences; I.e. it’s a lot more expensive to hire somebody in San Francisco than in Omaha. I’m not sure if the you had a specific complaint about the three bands but it’s nothing to do with the job or your performance, just the local wage market.
Todd F with the hot take
Lol “Hot Take” - you sound like one of the losers.
@1fnk+1go7O7Hf There is a cast system at MetLife and being rewarded financially is in the hands of a subjective clique. It’s time the cabal is exposed. Oppressing one financially is not an incentive to do better than average.
Who let HR on here again. Control your people black jacket.
Hot take: There are people in all three bands. Success here isn't a fairy godmother thing. People work for it. Now... perhaps you just haven't had your big break? Or maybe you did, but you hesitated or didn't deliver? It's OK, there is a need for plenty of average people doing the average good job. It's just that those people who, for whatever reasons, step up and deliver above and beyond... they end up with more recognition and better compensation. It's, you know... kind of the way it should be.
