Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

It’s hard to work in a company you don’t have a good opinion of anymore

TGP has set Allstate back so much that this no longer looks like the company I started working for and where I used to love working. Before I gave notice, I tried to think of good things that might be worth staying here for a while. In vain. Is there anything left the company is still good at? Unfortunately, I don't think anything good about Allstate anymore.

Above report appears to be from 2007. Here is something very similar, but more recent

Same here. It’s difficult to put in max effort when the company gives you no reason to do so. Maybe you’ll get a 3.25% increase to your meager salary instead of 3%. There’s no longer bonuses, so I hung on for awhile until morally I felt I had no other option but to work for a different carrier that doesn’t come with all the baggage.

I think it depends on which part of the company you work for. Claims is clearly broken beyond repair but other areas appear to be doing very well and have very satisfied employees.

By the way, the American Association of justice states that all state is the worst insurance company in America.

After 25 years working for this company, the best thing I ever did was leave.
