I'm no longer prioritizing pay in my job search. I've learned after spending (or to be more precise, wasting) three years at Allstate that it's more important to pursue a career I'm going to enjoy and not the one that I think will pay better. That's my one positive takeaway from working here.

For me personally I work for money. However, I would never work a job I hated. I'm ok at my dept at allstate. If you hate allstate or any job I'd definitely recommend leaving
Good for you, but what does this have to do with layoffs?
