Leadership here is certainly not fostering an environment of trust. I am glad that fewer and fewer employees trust the leadership here. Admittedly, it’s not at all hard to lose trust in all levels of leadership here. Purely out of curiosity, when did you stop trusting them, at what point?

Retention bonus? Are things so bad over there they need to bribe employees to stay on? Hopefully this site played a small role in that. Glad I left!
That post about first day logistics essentially mirrors mine. The only difference is my manager treated me to lunch at Cucina. Coming from an upstream company with gold standard onboarding, it was embarrassing having to set up my own monitors and introduce myself to co-workers in-person and via e-mail. I was not valued. Everyone I spoke to about onboarding was indifferent, including "HR". My polite yet direct criticisms of the onboarding process were ignored and was likely a strike against me, however I never hung around long enough to know if things had changed. Behind SNC-Lavalin, Pembina is the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of working for in Calgary...
Please understand those retention bonuses were critical to ensuring the stablility of our company
Sounds very familiar. Typical Pembina.
Day 1! Escorted to my floor by the only on-boarding analyst in Calgary to an empty cubicle and left there. No name bar, laptop, duel screens, phone, welcome package. No manager around to greet me. No walk around introductions or a mass e-mail to colleagues saying X-X is now here sitting over in X. It was pathetic. I had to call IT on my own cell phone after consulting with someone who was sitting in an adjacent office and then help IT to setup up my own equipment. Computer and phone didn't work for another 48 hours. Introduced myself to people and asked for reading material to fill my days up and was looked at like I was trying to rob the place as people had no idea who I was.
6 months in: Knowing upper management never cared and still doesn't care. It is all about their own hides. They outright rejected approving certain software solutions for our team that would have made our lives easier and saved the company $$$ but instead chose to be reactive kicking the can down the road conservatively burning through ~6 Million to protect their own compensation.
Pembina trash. Don't even waste your time applying here.
