Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

More closings?

It’s just a rumor, but where there’s smoke there’s fire. Does anyone have more information? I am constantly waiting for closing announcements, because it's no longer possible to expect any changes for the better, unfortunately. When I read the posts here, some are full of enthusiasm and make me wonder if we work in the same company.

Toxic Nashville, the only truth on here.

There two different posts here. The truth. And, the spin , authored by management.

All the comparisons to Sears are spot on, it's a slow, painful (for employees) death but it is happening. You really know things are bad when the bigger stores are closing.

My question is, why would anyone in their right mind want to board a sinking ship? Smart people do the research and the smart B&N employees have long gone and found better jobs and are much happier. But it's interesting to read the delusional people posting how great everything is.
