There are many more talented employees here and we deserve raises. Do we need to remind our leaders about high inflation? What is the problem with giving us a decent raise? The thing is that they only think about stockholders, right? If they gave us our well-deserved raise, it would lower the stock price. That's the issue, isn't it?

Deserve? Really? You think the ELT is considering what you deserve? I’m sure, very sure, PZ is tapping his foot, flying in the executive jet, wondering aloud & contemplating what you deserve. And you know what he came up with, 2%. And that’s if you’re lucky. So, you know what you do? You grow a pair and instead of wasting time here, you get your resume in order and apply, apply, apply, like so many of your colleagues have and get yourself a new job, with a 40% raise and a 50% bonus and never look back.
agree with capitalism 101. no one in upper management gives two sh*ts about you, not even lucy. you know, the head of hr that makes a bigger bonus every time one of you leaves. yes, lucy has several thousand stock options in her back pocket. your best interest is far from anyone's concern in upper management. you aren't getting a decent raise because they don't have to give you one and they don't care if you leave. sorry, that is life at aig. the icing on the cake is when your manager tells you to just be happy you still have a job. enjoy your 2%. maybe they will throw in another wellness day! yippee.
I agree with you both. I worked there for 7 years and only received 1 raise and that was my first year. Don’t expect one ever. They will beat you down mentally until you have no self esteem left. They don’t care about you, inflation or anything else. Only the stockholders and money for the head cheeses.

And yes, you don't deserve any raise because you are too weak to leave this sh-t company and are unable to think what's best for yourself. You want charity, you want someone to help you. Good luck with that.. World is not about who's deserving and who's non deserving. If it were so, then I am sure many perfectly good people won't be dying of hunger or war or bad economy around the world. Its all about supply and demand.
You are working for a dying company; they don't want people. Work demand is dwindling. Then how can you expect a raise. Senior management will take the raise because they have the power to do so. You have to do what's best for you. So, please LEAVE this place.

don’t say leaders. none of the executives can lead this company for sh-t. Yes that’s why they aren’t giving raises because they’re trying to get their LTI stock options nice and healthy for that payout. It’s complete bu-----t to work here so lay back do the bare minimum and search for a new job. AIG is trash.
I’ve been waiting for news on raises for 2 months now and heard nothing. But all i see is all these upper management employees getting promotions every week.. complete trash company. If you work here just know no matter how hard you work, how much you try to show how capable you are.. you will NEVER get a raise and NEVER get a promotion. You’re wasting your time doing so. I’m an UW, trust me.
