Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Give us a hint

I know a lot of you have found new jobs in the last six months. It'd be great if some of you would let us know if those jobs turned out to be what you expected and if they turned out to be better (and let us know which companies are worth checking out). My biggest fear about quitting is getting stuck in a similar or worse situation. I'd be grateful if you help me and others avoid that.

When I left, I had no real plan. I assumed I’d just go take something similar at a better company for better pay, since literally everywhere pays better.
I did not.
I got a job as an office manager at a small practice, work the same hours every day for a lot more money. I feel valued and appreciated beyond measure. I’m doing something that actually matters, not squabbling with angry people over a few cents difference on an ugly Kim Rogers shirt.
Definitely leave, but remember that if you hate retail (and who doesn’t?) look for something COMPLETELY different.
