If they decide to change you from dept mgr to a tl and you don't want it, what happens then?

prior to pandemic ( Jan 2020 , Deja Vu ) deck chairs being reshuffled as it is all about the stock , and it is cheaper to give a new person a raise , that an equal pay long term employee ..........1rst 15 years Walmart can get a Tax credit on Employee , not to mention all the credits they get if you are a Vet ( which they love , most don't need WMT insurance and big Gov incentive ) .....it is cost cutting and increased work to streamline at lower cost ...
store managers are not going to answer , as their job is in jeopardy

Talk to your current supervisor or the store manager. There could be numerous reasons for them to make a change like this, so you need to ask WHY the change is being made and what happens if you don’t take the TL position. Don’t be confrontational, just ask the questions. Be sure you get clear answers. It’s probably best not to argue or become defensive. Also, find out if there’s other positions at the store that are open and you could move to.
