Thread regarding Pembina Pipeline Corp layoffs

Has employee morale improve in the last four years?

When I left it was hitting the rock bottom, but with the situation improving at Pembina lately from what I can see (or at least it looks like it is from the outside) I'm wondering if that has changed for the better as well? I certainly hope so, at least for the sake of the people I used to work with. The work atmosphere when I walked away was atrocious.

I have been here for ten years and I now have my resignation letter in my back pocket. It’s way worse than it was five years ago.

Good people leave and all that is left is crummy staff feeding into the yes machine crummy leadership.

Want to get promoted? Bring some lipstick for kissing boots.

I think it has improved a lot . Having a younger and forward looking CEO has made the company more inclusive. The toxicity that was present during the pandemic is gone and with thy hybrid work model there is more flexibility . I can’t wait to see what this year brings

SB promotion was to maintain confidence with Wall Street. Not about who was best for the the job but to tow the company line while protecting pockets of investors, the board, and C-suite. Post below about layoffs is accurate. Look for an exit and do not trust what is going on.

First off, congratulations on being an early escapee from the sinking tanker. Morale on my floor is significantly worse post covid. Our BU always had a standoffish and cold culture to begin with but it feels like people have lost trust in each other and in all levels of leadership. I believe the work from home/hybrid model has driven a wedge between some people, as have the number of useless meetings and rounds by (useless) managers to justify their employment. I tell my two kids that Dad goes to daycare just like they do every day. Although it wasn't much of a surprise, myself and others are not keen about the internal succession plan at the top with another bean counter in charge. When these kids make bad bets there will be layoffs to rebuild confidence with the investment community. BTW. Any bets on when the "diversity and inclusion" team will throw in the towel? I give them 10 months until they are disbanded.
