Why is Citi always hiring?

Is this a bad sign?

As I know in my team, managers are hiring new employee with much higher pay but no able to do the job instead of treating the loyal employees better.

I wasn’t sure what to believe until that guy put a period after every word for emphasis. When I read that, it won me over. I was like “whoa, a period after every word. This guy knows what he’s talking about for sure.”

I agree with that. People leave for better roles, better pay, better benefits, better work life balance. Some actually run in fact when they go.

All large companies have a churn. Period. Every.Single.One. Some people get bored easily. Some people have a spouse who transferred and will be moving with them. Some folks just have a hard cutoff of 1yr, 2yr,3yr, 5yr, etc... before they leave any place. It just happens.

Citi is always hiring because people are always leaving. The question that needs to be asked is as to “why”?

High attrition due to low pay, lacking benefits and longer than normal work hours.
Work vs reward is rather lacking, so people leave. Citi then tries to backfill for less than average salary. Since no one hires on for such a low wage, the work piles up for those that are less which in turn adds even more hours per week, which in turn makes those people leave when they get enough of it. As you can see it goes in a circle.
