Why are all the information security analysts leaving?

Why are they leaving and are you considering leaving?

Because infosec is poorly managed except the log monitoring/qradar and sailpoint team. Everyone with any talent leaves in a year or so except for non technical ticket working analyst cuz they are stuck. For example in one dept https://www.linkedin.com/in/shannonlowry66/ left 3 months after replacing https://www.linkedin.com/in/erin-crawford-3264b245/ in fact the whole infosec automation team jumps ship after 1 to 2 years as its was so badly run, never seen anything like that before.

Starting salary at SF for this position is only 150k. SF cannot compete with other companies that pay much more.

Huge demand for for this skill set. Can’t pay competitive salary that is offered in major metro areas.

From what I can gather, it's largely: Pay, job titles (they don't really align to the rest of the industry), and also just that tech workers tend to move up the ladder by going to new places. I wouldn't be surprised if we are a starter job for many in the sector, and burnout is a real thing in the sector)

(not in infosec but have friends who are industry leaders)
