I don’t know if Chevron has ever had so much trouble filling positions after employees left. It wouldn’t surprise me if no one wanted to apply for those positions. Another possibility is that Chevron is waiting to see if we can cover all that work. If it's so difficult to replace people, I'm afraid we can only expect more and more work here?

And if you are the leader of a group, they reduce your budget after can’t fill the positions…then demote you because your scope (budget not the work) is smaller now. Been there!
You act like they care. Your boss will say work harder we will make it up to you at ranking time. They will not but it gets you to put out more for another year. Then they will say he tried everything we could but this is the best we could do. Been there done that.
