Does anyone buy the $200+ Honeywell home thermostat anymore?
That new $50 thermostat partnership with Amazon completely cannibalized the existing business. What were shady and his white boys thinking? How stupid do you have to be to see that you’re going to ruin your core business by sleeping with Amazon? Why does shady still exist in that company? He’s made so many bad investments such as - Amazon Dash, filters program, home advisor. None of these have ever worked. Zero revenue.
He just likes to spin up forecasts and creates a bunch of work that never gets monetized. ‘The king of winging it’ as he refers to himself.

Whomever thinks the $200 Tstst is the bo-b let me tell you the instructions to connect without a c wire are sh-t. And literally I was on hold for 4 hours till I eventually hung up.
This is what resideo is…. Cr-p and more cr-p wrapped into BS and lies
There’s absolutely NOTHING for a business model here.
If the hedge fund or PE guys are listening - stay away from these lemons.
Product Innovation = Zero
Business Model = just plain old hardware that you get stuck supporting for the warranty period
Recurring Revenue = ZERO
Management = nuff said
Supply chain and distribution channel = the ONLY plus which is also soon diminishing
The guy giving us the math … are you one of shady’s little dolls?
You gave us the top line breakdown and now please give us the EBITDA number you generated this year out of that piece of cr-p.
I’ll tell you what - your bottom line is the abyss because the profit margin is negative. Your CAC is over the roof. You end up supporting that user (device, cloud, app) for at least three years. You are cross/upselling zero additional devices to the same user because Amazon won’t allow you to. Your LTV for those customers is $10
You guys need to pay a little more attention to your P&Ls instead of getting charmed by SHady’s dolls that bring these senseless “partnership” opportunities. Didn’t you learn your lesson with NDM?
Ok shady. Put that in your STRAP plan.
The $50 tstat will sells thousands upon thousands to people who would never have bought the $200 tstat. Meantime, the $200 tstats will still sell to 'some' folks, just as the $500-$1000 specialized ones still sell.
