Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Am I just in a bad business unit or is zero opportunity for skill development normal across Fidelity?

As a manager, I can tell you that I have zero time to get sh-t done, let alone for any type of real training, ie D&I bs. Meetings all day, nights and weekends to get actual work done.

Zero time at work to take a training or learn a new skill. There is just way to much work. If you are in a group who has time for this stuff consider yourself lucky.

If you are a manager than, yes, there are opportunities, different training, different PTO requests and all. Two cities, if you know what I mean. Maintaining the status quo is the key word for most with good jobs. Words. The company is still transitioning, but it will take, about, oh, two lifetimes to complete. So.
