I would like this company to be more competitive, but I don't believe that IBM knows how to compete anymore.

IBM will get competitive when it finally decides what fields it truly wants to be in. Right now it is overmanned by approx 60k and that excess weight is quite burdensome. Management has put short term profits ahead of innovation and investment. Don’t believe me? Just look at Intel server divestment, PC divestment, Power ISV divestment, and cloud non-investment. Oh IBM management, that sweet taste of short term cash infusion, is soon dissipated by the bitterness of lack of innovation and the realization of being a non-player in todays technology market. That statement nets out the last 15 years of IBM CEO management (Sam and Ginni), (essentially financial engineering). AK the ball is now in your hands. What’s it to be? Financial engineering or innovation?
