So after working for this company for 8 years and having the same morning schedule I look at my schedule they go and change it. I try to explain to my manager that the schedule is against my availability since I have another job and that she approved it and her answer was oh to bad. What does one do. I am sure everyone is thinking just leave and get another job. Not so easy since I need the insurance for my children.

With any change in availability by the company the associates need to be given time to adjust. Granted, it is a no class move by your manager, when we are all told to show empathy and be very understanding to all our associates needs. I'm guessing you have an over abundance of employees for your manager to act this way. Reach out to my HR.
If you have been working the same schedule for 8 years, there is a reasonable precedent that it would continue unless there was some kind of notice or conversation. I would bring this to HR if your manager is unreceptive.
The entire business is going under, we’ll all be forced to find other jobs soon enough…get ahead of it so you’re not scrambling when they close stores/ file for bankruptcy.
If your fulltime, it does not matter what your availability says in the force. The force can be a preferred availability but when it comes to it, the needs of the business come first and full timers have open availability.
Things change in life..get another job with insurance or get the kids pan Dads insurance. The point of working is to work. The employee makes the rules..not youTBH.. you sound like a crybaby
Unless you are a majority stock owner, this company could care less about you, your family or your schedule and needs for health insurance.
For the sake of your mental health LEAVE! Yes I know it’s difficult, you need the insurance, yada yada. You’re destroying yourself for an entity that will never ever care about you. Get insurance through the exchange until you find something better. Being a cashier at the local gas station is less stressful and probably more appreciative than what you’re doing now. I speak from experience; it’s scary to quit, but I guarantee once you do quit, you will feel a rush of relief you never thought possible. Go improve yourself and leave BBBY behind.
Business needs can certainly change and need to be accommodated, but after 8 years it would have been nice if someone had a conversation with you before posting the schedule.
Full time requires open availability. That should have been made clear as soon as you were offered the position
If your BB&B job is full time and your other job is part time of course your fulltime job at BB&B is going to take priority. Businesses do this all the time based on business needs. Be careful how you push your recourse. BB&B can always say your availability no longer fits with their business needs and you're out of luck. Good luck.
If your availability is in the force then you have recourse. Since your manager is scheduling you against agreed availability send a complaint through my HR. DO NOT GO TO YOUR HR SUPPORT MEMBER. Do not discuss this with other associates or managers until the people from my HR contact you.
I totally get your issue, but needs of the business change and you may not be needed for that shift any longer. Not sure what your role is, but if its a ft associate, your store may not need one during that time of day any longer. The company is bleeding money, so if your business peaks during a different time of day you may be needed then. Eventually the store needs were going to take over the needs of the associate, unfortunately.
