Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Outsourcing to Accenture

Imo (but it's a wild guess), They want to outsource everything outside underwriting to accenture. They already did it with IT and partially for claims, they'll continue maybe with a part or accounting (not the part that makes up figures to make the balance look better of what it is). Once they have outsorced most of it they'll find a buyer...good luck with that!!

Original post at +1gSwmkae. I'm afraid that they will continue to outsource to Accenture, but this wild guess is pretty logical, all things considered?

Is that the true intention of AIG 200?

One of two things will happen. Either AIG will be sold or AIG will buy someone.
Hence why so many people in tech are leaving, and no replacements are being hired. Company thinks Accenture can run IT for them. Based on results, many would beg to differ.

This is how you setup to be sold. I have gone through this before with another company. Once sold, those contracts with the 3rd party can be terminated or renegotiated if done in the same manner I witnessed. In my case after the sale, all contracts were terminated early after some time to allow the merging to occur. Then I was laid off :)
