Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Most ibm layoffs are hush hush

So you won't see an article in news media like other companies layoffs. Maybe those news agencies aren't interested in reporting ibm layoffs or ibm pays them off or something else, that's for another time.

But ibm has mastered the art of layoffs, even in the state with warn notices they do just enough to not trigger it.
They're run by lawyers.

Just want to get this out there because this has happened to lot of people i know in past decade and it has 'managed' to keep out of news most of the time unless it is significantly big.

Seems like hr is very active on this website and they're blaming someone that there were no layoffs based on news outlets not reporting it. Just wanted to inform the audience here that it's been hush hush for long time.

IBM does layoffs throughout the year in low numbers. I worked with a guy who was RA along with 10 of his team members before rumors of layoffs coming when quarterly earning reports come out.

@2ccp, “one lonely, sad soul” can’t know how much every bend in every region earns. More likely we have minor layoffs and a troll who thinks it’s funny to drop numbers like 8000 (which none of us believes).

My gosh. There is one lonely, sad soul out there who trolls this board adding fake RA news it seems. Gets as many people worked up as they can of some impending date of doom. Then, that same person keeps coming back post new comments saying they were affected multiple times.

And then chastises the very people calling BS .. on his BS !

I was RA today as well. 1 month notice, 3 months severance, 1 year medical, out before the end of June.

Maybe this site gets ad revenue from fake posts on layoffs that increase visitors.. One fact is there were no layoffs today. Same poster, big liar, doing dozens of posts. Basically having post conversations with himself
