Unfortunately I have the same feeling. Outsourcing claims and IT massively isn't cost effective, it's just a way to reduce the size of the company making it easier to be sold or dismantled
Yep, at this point I think you will see very few traditional rifs. Instead, you will see very few positions filled if people leave. It will be rif by attrition. You will see anything and everything possible outsourced. Employees will be sold to third parties with their units or let go. Every expense will be cut to the bone and every business unit is for sale. The corporate vision is very short term regardless of what your "leaders" want you to believe.
Yes, it is quite clearly being packaged up to sell. Employees are expected to ignore this and pretend like it’s not happening and soldier on. Gotta love AIG.
