Maximizing shareholder value

It is quite clear that X does not make decisions for the benefit of its employees, but seeks to maximize the shareholder value. It may be a stupid question, but I don't see how it will achieve that in the future if employees continue to be treated this way?

You are still here, doing your work aren’t you? So are thousands of others, so from their pov this tactic is working pretty well.

They really don't care about employees. They know they can't compete in this hot job market so they are offshoring more and more activities and resources.

The only "future" they care about is the next 3 months - just getting through the next Quarter.

There is no future. Shareholders are fine with that.

Not sure how accurate this statement is. I'm a shareholder, and they're not treating me very well!
