Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Google Jose Soto - he is listed as a "Corporate Responsibility Officer" for State Farm, Agent for 10 years, etc. So at least the name and office listed on the email look valid. The company is probably rapidly diving into damage control.
Perhaps Mr. Soto will be looking for a job.

I notified our State Farm agent that we are cancelling after almost three decades. We have our home, two rental properties, our business vehicles, our personal vehicles, and our ranch insured with State Farm. Time to move on.

What liability? Acknowledging that people unlike yourself exists?

Look, SF isn't doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. They are doing it for the same reason we put our names on stadiums and give to charity. Brand recognition, showing potential customers (particularly younger customers) that SF "cares" about the same things they do and in particular, civil rights, so they can identify with us as a company.

BREAKING: Victor sent out a mass email to their staff today stating “we will no longer support that program” after they were exposed for supporting a project to push LGBTQ books into schools.
A source tells me “the agents were really upset when we found out.”

@ksa Drive within your headlights. This is NOT even close to a subject of insurance. DON'T go there even in the slightest way because that is up to the parents. The parents have the liability on this topic. NOT SF, Public School, relative, etc....NO one but parents. It is their right and should be recognized as such. In any context, SF should know better than to even get close to this subject. Just like Serra High School, San Mateo California Greg Gutfield says: PERIOD!

I wish the "superintendent" who hired me was alive today to see this. I am sure he is turning upside down in his grave. Not a day went by in my career I didn't think of him and his his family who I got to meet personally after he retired. Thank God we are both retired and long gone from a company I'm sure would have him turning over in his grave with this nonsense.

Yep, long long way from the farmer from Merna. How about we stick to providing great insurance products and stay out of this. I’m an agent in another state, a rabidly red one. Got an email from a customer. I’m busy doing my actual job and I honestly know nothing about this.

Bad idea. State Farm should know better than to play these games in Desantis's state. I expect his response will be substantial.

My agent has requested a reply to this in writing from the Corporate office. I told him even Dan Bongino is talking about it so he said he will have their answer in writing to their stance on this situation soon. State Farm would be stupid to do this.

I just cancelled my state farm coverage and found a better rate. My agent who is actually a pretty good guy was pi---d but understood. He had no idea about this but we don't live in Florida.

There are so many options for insurance in America, State Farm is toying with fire here!
