I really do believe that the clowns at the top of this company intend to compensate for the lower sales by deliberately understaffing the stores. They do stuff like this every now and again. They have these “pain points”, they look for. What that means is they deliberately understaff, looking for the point at which it starts to undermine sales. They call that a “pain point”. All of this is for them to determine just how low they can go with staffing the store.
You should also remember that these “pain points” aren’t about you. They don’t care about how much pressure or pain they put you in, they’re worried about how much pain it’ll put them in. They’re just trying to figure out how much pain they’ll be in once the understaffing gets critical.
Nice, huh?
It’s good to know that they care so much for us that they’re will to experiment on us like laboratory rats, just to increase their sales and their bonuses. And let’s be real, their bonuses and pay are all they really care about. They like to tell us about how much they care about their associates and welfare, but remember this: “The less you intend to do about something, the more you need to talk about it. Hopefully, the more you talk, the less anyone will actually notice that you really haven’t done a d@mn thing.”
