Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Stock is at ~65 now

When should we start worrying about Layoffs ( other than the general worry that we always have )

I’ve heard MS doesn’t pay well - stock is good / pay bad.

What's the internal explanation you've been given for this MS people coming to NetApp ? Effectively I've seen a lot of them trusting the management layers

Don’t take the role if you’re heading into one of he orgs managed by a recent Microsoft hire. Unless of course you’re one of them too.

@teo+1gPxC8pC - Depends - are you desperate? Are you sure you cant find another better offer out there?
Everything is pretty much antiquated here - some teams are good, in terms of the tech stack, good team members and a transparent manager. Unfortunately, such teams are scarce.
Is the offer good? If yes, then go ahead and try it out. Otherwise, I'd rather wait and see.

Yes, indeed... it's below 65 now... and it can still go down to ~60. If that resistance holds and the earnings call goes well, maybe we'll see a nice rebounce... if not the next stop is probably at ~49...

I am mulling over an offer from Net App. Any insights into this, the culture, or problems would be appreciated.
