I was on hold today for 45 minutes before someone from it support picked up. Meanwhile all of our pin pads were down and all of the credit cards were declined. Great idea to lay off support.
Will increased cake dome deliveries lead to more layoffs?
Do you really think there are no IT people at corporate? There are many teams that keep this company going and there are several new initiatives happening in house. If someone who was a part of the lay off posts here, we will learn more.
Back in the day when we used to order and chase our own items we were selling over 75 cake dome punch bowl combos for 10 weeks straight heading into graduation and summer party time.
Maybe it's the team that orders 100 cake domes ( 10 year supply) for every store?

Corporate IT was hit yesterday with lay offs. No, not everything was outsourced. There are offshore teams but corporate still has many IT teams that run internal systems, web site etc. Offshore was also downsized. Curious to see if any more information will be posted here.
I thought they were all outsourced to India a couple of years ago.
