HCL is on a rocket ride. Over at Fiserv, eh, First Data now considering who controls the place after the awful merger, ALL DESKTOP is gone. Where? HCL in Pune, India. Yeap, they still believe that India call centers are the answer to all IT issues. I have in my career bumped into this at Aon and Abbott Labs (they live with WiPro). So layoffs always in IT whenever an outsourcer shows up.

Tell me, if you were incentivized with at least hundreds of thousand in bonus by lowering costs wouldn’t you do that too? By paying hcl to do the job you used to do in a company going downhill they save millions as volumes decrease. It’s simply math. And it sucks. Both can be true. But again xerox didn’t disrespect you. You did that yourself by not seeing the writing on the wall decade ago.
How long ago was that? Haven’t heard about any rebadging lately.
