Government needs to step in the make the supply chain fluid again and negotiating our contracts for big benifits, pay and arbitrary penalty claims....it must for our sake!

I agree dont worry about things you cannot control. But ABSOLUTELY I encourage everyone to stay informed and educate yourselves to things that effect our lives. The corrupt leaders of companies and governments depend on us being ignorant to what they do at our expense.

#1 Posting a hearing that touches on labor metrics on a 'layoff' site is appropriate.
#2 Regarding getting involved, if you tend to leave things on "auto pilot" you might find yourself flying into a mountainside... It's much better to pay attention, become informed and help navigate.
