Last week I went back to the office and it’s really depressing. I think returning to the office will have a very negative impact on productivity of teams. Perhaps AIG figures employees will get used to the office again, but I think most would rather look for fully remote jobs and get out of here?

I'm not getting used at all, I could manage 1 maybe 2 days in the office, but 3 is ki----g me. I don't understand why they are sticking to this 3 days in the office policy after they left us at home for 2 years and everything worked perfectly. Maybe they thought:" we are making our employes too happy, let's think of something to let 'em down, quickly!!"
I think I took more days off for illness in the last 2 months that in the previous 2 years (I was really sick, but if I could go 100% SW on those days I would have probably worked a bit anyway). What's the reason for the 3 days policy? To feel the Company's culture? The culture that leads to layoffs every 3 years? Oh come on nobody gives a sh1t about Company culture we are only numbers and you are only a paycheck to us
A jenius must be repeatedly posting. Fact is, the way they handled it was ridiculous, just like the delay in meager raises being handed out.
From an ESG perspective, picking when gas prices are at a an all time high to return to office seems very non ESG like. And if you get Covid expect HR to want to know all about your private health status.
The AirBnb CEO said the future is work from home and he’s not expecting anyone to return to the office. I’m sure he’ll be more than happy to get highly talented people and not limit his company to those geographically near an office. He can hire anyone, anywhere. AIG would rather have you miserable, looking at your miserable manager, trying to choke you off by micromanaging you.
What you want and who takes care of your kids is not their problem. Keeping the stock price up is their only concern. If you are in the office, they know you aren't moonlighting trying to make up for the raise that they didn't give you. That is why they want you there.
They don’t care.
A lot of places seem to be going back to that.. hybrid is a good compromise. 2 days at most in the office to break up the gmonotony unless there are other more important priorities that require full time remote, like taking care of your kids…
Do they offer any additional benefits for forcing people back to the office?
