The big wigs obviously don’t give a damn about the morality of their stores and they certainly don’t give a damn about the well being of their employees. They ONLY care about money. That is it.
Normal higher ups would see red flags and immediately take action.
The store I’ve worked at has had a new store manager for 1 year. Just 1 year and already 40 people have quit. A majority of those people are seasoned employees. People who have been there SEVERAL years and had been dedicated to their jobs and were loyal and reliable associates. Then this witch comes in, turns the place into a VERY toxic work environment, belittles everyone, talks about associates and management behind their backs to other associates, brags about her husbands income, talks down to everyone and makes associates feel small and less than. How could a company not care about this HIGH turnover rate? I don’t get it. Something isn’t working. Blows my mind everyday.

i asked 25 fellow associates if they knew who the CEO of belk is. 24 did not know and 23 added they DID NOT CARE!
The jokes on them, associates have found ways to steal without being caught!
As long as Belk corporate executives making big bonus and drive expensive cars, eat in expensive restaurants, they could not care less about you or the distress Belk financial status! Greed is like a cup of coffee with bottomless. It will never be filled. Don’t blame Belk, blame Sycamore Partners for taking Belk to Chapter 11 and making Belk as a flea market retail store today!
