Yep, it's coming!!! If your store hasn't dotted their i's and crossed their t's and prepped for this, your in deep cr-p!!! Store leaders should have identified all key players, started training and individually has spoken to each colleague about their upcoming role and responsibilities. Luckily my store has been doing this before the test stores from last year! It's all about team work, supportive leaders and colleagues willing to adapt. Good luck everyone!!!

How about the At your service people? Are they affected. Or the selling support captains.?
Macys is a sh-t show.
No one wants to work because of this new ISM.
Why would you have someone who sells 1 million dollars start doing markdowns and merchandising?
Also some people are very good at merchandising and some are not. They specifically applied to do a certain job whether it be to sell or support and now they do everything? Way to go. On top of all of that they are getting paid minimum wage. Wow!
Macys has lost so many talented people over these past four years. What a waste.
I do not blame all these associates for leaving.
Why is My Client needed in any department? Other successful department stores have their marketing and tech departments communicate with customers so that when they come in they can just shop and not be asked when they checkout if they want to be a client instead of a customer based on what they buy.
Our colleagues are just to worn out from all the work load and now Macy's is going to push My Client again. I thought that My Client was for only Jewelry, Cosmetics and fragrances department. Our store was part of the pilot program last year and most of the colleagues quit. They couldn't adapt to the new changes in the store. Believe me folks it's tough. The condition of the store is falling apart and the company added this new changes.
My Client is an old way to communicate with customers. They really don’t want to be clients. They just want to buy stuff on sale, use their coupons and rewards money and leave.
Get ready everybody I was just told that ISM will be adding My Client too, expect for back to house. Supposedly the store manager will get a incentive bonus for how many My Clients the store gets at the end of the year. Selling Support colleagues will be train for this program coming this June. This company is just full of surprises. Colleagues will be doing everything in the store.
I heard that last year and two years ago that the ladies shoes department will be open sell but our store is still not. We still have sales colleagues working in ladies shoes but with no commission.
@4mws. My manager says all shoes in all Macy's will be open sell by the end of the year.
Big Ticket, as well as Beauty and Fine Jewelry, are not affected. Stores where womens shoes are not open sell are also not affected. All other areas go into the “generalist” pool.
I agree with the above poster. If your Store Manager hasn’t rolled out ISM at your store yet, that borders on negligence because it will be a cluster you know what if not communicated and explained properly. Training, accountability, and support are key. It’s a nightmare, especially when people are clueless about what their job responsibilities are.
Does anyone in a pilot store know if this affects Big Ticket?
Omni Operations Manager?
what is a OOM?
ISM is a disaster! We have lifelong great support colleagues who have built their lives around early schedules. Our OOM has now resigned. We have 4 open senior exec positions now. One OOM, two mma, one mba. All our store manager wants to do is is try to get rid of his cxm or whatever the he-l we are called now! Macys is sinking.. goodbye!!!
To the previous poster. Are you kidding me? We were hired to do a job during certain hours and now we’re gonna be forced to do a more manual job with completely different hours. Meanwhile Macys is still playing the overhead message about how flexible they are. It’s all a lie.
Anyone can use a computer in the AST office, go to mymacys.com, choose STORES and learn more.
Pretty sure it won't be as big a deal as people think it will be.
I haven’t heard anything about it and June is only a few weeks away. I work in union store, are the union stores doing this too?
LOL. If you haven't heard anything yet, your store manager is bad, very very bad at his/ her job.
This is 100% true.
If you are a sales associate, get ready to merchandise. If you are a merchandiser, get ready to ring. And also be prepared to help out with visual. And signing. And mark-downs. Oh, and you are probably not going to have a designated department - one day men's, the next day intimates. Also, your schedule will be all over the place, sometimes mornings, sometimes closing.
Sounds awesome.
Glad I got out of there.
Any truth to this, cause I’’m hearing nothing about it at my store?
