Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

Now this!!!

https://www.cnbc.com/video/2022/05/11/globalfoundries-ceo-says-company-is-ready-to-do-its-part-to-increase-uss-chip-production.html

If you read between the lines the company is ready to do it if they get money not like our competitors who are already doing it. Keep begging !!!

If you see the amount of investment by institutions in GF is next to nothing in their portfolio. The biggest holder is fidelity is just short of a billion and everyone else is more like let’s wait and watch. If someone buys it we make some money but other than that there is no substantial investment. In addition as per TC’s comment there are others who have invested more than 30-40 billion compared to 1 billion why would government give them a big chunk of pie. They are going to get pennies that Schumer got them and that’s about it.

Also this is interesting…

Takeaway: analysts haven’t changed despite GFs big numbers on last call…

Maybe they are seeing past the bs ( gf “new” govt contract, etc.) if I was GF leadership I would be worried old tricks aren’t working anymore now that you are public.

Good point - if GF was doing so well they would be doing on our own. Not with our hat in hand begging for the funds…

I have noticed this too. Why aren’t people being more vocal about the bu-----t etc. it’s a vibe of just go with flow, don’t rock the boat. Probably to ensure that they don’t loose their job. But, ironic part is GF won’t fire you. They need you badly and are having a terrible time getting new hires in the door and keeping experienced people. They will never fire you (within reason). It is the perfect time to speak up and rebel. We should start a revolt! Haha

What I don’t understand is there is nothing substantial and it’s the same BS narrative and everyone on LinkedIn just starts loving it, etc. I mean for heavens stop this fake cheerleading
