It’s the market. GF trips over their own feet at every chance they get. It’s sometimes feels like they intentionally/purposely shoot themselves in the foot. But……..
Chip shortage. Even if GF fu--s every single thing up, due to market conditions at moment they will still end up winning.
The real question investors and analysts should be looking into and asking is why isn’t GF DOING BETTER. They should be ki----g it, but really they are doing just “ eh ok”
I exchange emails with colleagues from Dresden and they openly advertise their union in their signatures. I'm kind of surprised IT doesn't filter it out 😅
This awesome my dream come true. GF meeting the expectations and the stock drops by 12%. Couldn’t have asked for more. Liars they say they are going to make $250 mil in photonics.
They are going to meet the expectations overall but future is chaotic, back and forth 22FDX, 45nm. Malta is going to get pushed to the edge with 14,12,45 and now 22FDX. Pathetic!!!

Based on reeder’s comments I am sure all the attrition helped out. And the ASP increase per wafer was only $135 not a big deal. Now again they are going to move 22FDX from Dresden to Malta. How many times are they going to move back and forth and it seems they are reducing the profit from AMD.
