Global impact?

This is the first PDS cycle where I’ve been asked to report on what I did last year that had a positive global impact. Thinking it was a joke, I almost laughed. It wasn’t a joke.

I wanted to say that if I was actually in a position of power where I could make a global impact, I would probably be paid quite a bit more money, and I would certainly not be working at EM.

I heard d that a well defined multi billion dollar project went to the new “Greener” board for approval and one of those new green shitheads asked what is the global impact of producing that asset. Team going back to study that. The true impact is that the foreign country likely to give up on EM after wasting years and millions studying the global impact, nationalize the asset, and try to produce on their own with poor environmental habits and huge risk of spills and releases.
No other board members would speak up and steer the decision logically. The board is doomed because of fear of offending its new green members. Therefore EM is doomed to delaying projects by years and waste hundreds of millions studying instead of designing, building, producing.
