I have been part of this org for decades. One thing for sure organisation has evolved in a very reactive way in the last years. Wonder who listens anyway. The amount of churn at all levels, has left all in the org in a state of disbelief on the amount of change. Nothing is allowed to stick or for that matter thought through well. So much feedback and nothing learnt. All feedback is paraphrased back , as the ones surveyed are the ones who don’t get the message and let’s yell at all
of them even louder, so they understand.
All this frantic activity has exhausted the die hard 3M ‘ers.
Everyone knows Leadership changes faster everyday , which means they are not close to know their orgs and develop many trustful relationships. All these initiatives are thrown in the employees faces , but who trusts this leadership, who lead their teams to sheer exhaustion.. wave after wave of them moving in and out, trying to shine some light and failing to address the basic. That trust has to be built daily and this foundation has cracked.. Pity I still value the core, but how to bring back its roots again.. Listen and digest and don’t answer this mail..
