Our store is forcing the mothers to work on Mother’s Day. They tried asking for it off with no luck. Tomorrow all us mothers are calling out to protest. What kind of company forces mothers to work on Mother’s Day?

Our store was crazy yesterday. We had 23 mothers call out and were severely understaffed!
Bed bath is on its way out and forcing labor of mothers on Mother’s Day will just accelerate the process.
I guess, if you live long enough, sooner or later you get to see everything.
it’s retail, if the store is open and you need off, request it; if they deny you, that’s on your manager. try working a company that’s open on holiday’s like thanksgiving or christmas, you’d really hate that. there are real issues to worry about here without people pretending like we’re the only ones who make mothers work on mother’s day

A store being opened on Mothers Day is an attack on women? Hey lets protest the hospitals being open too! How about the restaurants which are open to feed other Mothers?

Usually I work on Mother's day (I am a mother). I'm not working it this year because we barely have any hours.
This miserable company has no respect for its employees. I needed a night off to attend my best friends, mothers wake and no one would switch shifts with me---including the store manager. I always went out of my way to help out my co-workers and then no one would help me out. I should have called in sick---but I was too much of a loyal dope at the time.
First there are complaints about no hours then you cry about the hours you get! It’s retail. There are no holidays. Grow up.
