Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Where is this company headed?

I try to give leaders the benefit of a doubt to know what they are doing, but it is getting harder and harder to do so.

As long as they renew their fresh meat from uni, costs could be contained. They also need to avoid the wage hike spiral: just wait one year, when recession hits, there's gonna be plenty available for cheaper ask.

The only problem i see is that old slaves know the place too well and won't get back into the golden cage as easily. That will curtail "talent" but if they can keep up buying all the firm instead of trying to hire a few talents, that could work.

I think we'll be fine. As long as enterprises need consulting we'll be selling projects. Fortune 500 is hungry for tech and their internal IT groups are limited in terms of what they can do (e.g., they have production systems to maintain, etc.)
