Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

Xerox to start training to take Ricoh service calls.

Xerox services received notification of new training courses on how to take Ricoh service calls.

This happened with Lexmark, then they had service train on the equipment.

Not sure what this spells for Ricoh, it definitely sucks for us since we are already overwhelmed.

So xerox tech will carry a ricoh golf shirt in their cars and put it on before they go to ricoh customer. Velcro logo might be easier.

Ricoh is so short-staffed currently that we would be happy if some other company can / would provide service to our devices. Just waiting out the contract life, then jumping ship.

I'm with Xerox service direct, not XBS. We have only worked on our own equipment until the last year when we began working on Lexmark, then HP.

I feel Xerox is trying to squeeze everything from service by obtaining service contracts from competitors. Lexmark actually has priority over our own equipment right now, which is mind boggling.

I would have thought that Ricoh would take over Xerox service not the other way around. Anyone have access to the Xerox info?

Ricoh basically now shell of its former self. Took a year but guessing this is what, “getting out of print means.” - We make it you fix it.

We use Ricoh. We need to make a service call soon. It should be interesting to see who comes out. Keep your head up and your resume up to date.
