Thread regarding Belk layoffs

You can fire me, but not yell at me

If I had more opportunities for a job in the town where I live, I wouldn't stay here for another second, but I certainly don't intend to suffer this madness for a long time. Where does anyone get the right to yell at employees? If they say that an employee is not doing something well, then it is certainly more normal in the adult world to be fired than to be shouted at. In my case, it happens almost every day.

@2plw. You are so right. That is how I make it at belk on a day to day basis by not expecting it to be any different. For me at least being rooted in reality until I can find a way out helps.

The company is to cheap to invest money to hire more quality retail workers to serve and improve quality customers service at Belk today. Belk business is sinking and shrinking day by day but top managers still decide to ignore the painful truth. What do you expect from a failing company lik this?

It seems to be a condition to be a belk manager to blindly harp at the associates without seeing what is really going on. One of the biggest complainers in our store became keyholder and all of a sudden we have to learn to let things go. I am trying to hold on until they close so I can collect unemployment until I get settled in another job. My area does not have many choices either but you are so right that it is madness working at belk.

Hearing loss is a terrible thing because it cannot be repaired. It could be that Belk Sale Team Leaders or Store Managers have hearing loss and blindness leadership problem? Something we should consider at Belk?

Because there are no more adults in the room any more at Belk. The longer this Belk corporation keeps hiring Cry Babies as store managers or top level executive positions, the pain and suffering at Belk will continue!
