Everybody who is considering Belk as their long-term employment is not looking at the big picture. Retail is dying. It's only a matter of time before we become completely obsolete. If it doesn't happen in the next five years it will happen in ten. As it's happening, our working conditions will become worse and worse as the company will be struggling to cut costs amid dropping profits. Why would you want to stay knowing all that? There are plenty of other industries with much better prospects that are hiring right now. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of it.
