It’s hard to describe how I feel after getting my first bad review. In the course of my many years of work, I have never received a bad review, and there was no reason such a review, especially now. Because I was afraid of losing my job, I think I worked harder than ever. The question is whether reviews are really based on the real picture, effort and performance of employees, or if they are just a subjective impression and one big sham?

I got my first GLOWING, review in ten years. My boss gave me great results and praised my work! An above average raise too.
Oh wait that’s because I got a new job!
I just got promoted and had the worst review ever. Lol. I literally kept laughing while it was being read to me. We live in clown world, it was bound to infect every aspect of life eventually.
If your store just got a heavy raise this year (or last) management was essentially told to give subpar reviews so they wouldn’t receive an astonishing raise. They don’t want to give out a 50 cent/$1 raise. They think we are mainly worth just the lousy quarter more :/
What specifics were given, or was it just a bad rating?
